Service Description
This 3 hour workshop (1hr20mins/20min break/1hr20mins), designed for 2-people per booking, demonstrates appropriate draping techniques for maintaining comfort & dignity, patient positioning, and basic massage techniques to relieve stress & muscular tension in the lower back, upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and feet. Learn from an experienced Massage Therapist how to use correct technique and the right amount of pressure, while preventing pain and injury to yourself and the person you are massaging. Each participant will take turns with their group partner to practice and receive the massage techniques. Oils, towels, and massage tables are provided. Light refreshments are also provided. There is a minimum of 4 groups (8 people) is required to run the workshop, with a maximum of 6 groups (12 participants) per workshop. Please note that each booking is for 2 people to attend. A waiting list will be available and those on it will have priority bookings for future workshops. If you are not able to find a partner for the session, please email liz.thetreatmentroom@gmail.com to request an allocation. A deposit of $80 is required to secure a group booking (2 people), with the remainder payable in person via cash, direct deposit or card at the beginning of the workshop. NB. due to administrative and materials costs of this workshop, the deposit will only be refundable if the workshop is cancelled/postponed. If you are not able to make it to the workshop, please give as much notice as possible to allow another group to attend. If reasonable notice is given and another group is able to take up the booking, a refund may then be considered.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule, please contact me 24 hours prior to the booking to avoid a cancellation fee. A cancellation fee of $40 will apply on cancellations made within 24 hours of the original booking time. NB the same fee may apply in the case of a booking being rescheduled more than twice.
